We all know “clients from hell”, and we sometimes stumble upon them. But, the big question is why work with them when we all know they are irritating and hard to work with?
Being a freelancer is wonderful thing for many reasons. With ever-growing market, and needs that just get bigger with every year, it was never easier to join this army of “free” men and “explore new territories”!
Now is the perfect time to hit the market, and show everybody what you are capable of. The best of all is that you will be your own boss, and there will be no one to tell you what and when you should do.
However, being led by these thoughts might let you forget the other side. Those are the problems you will face. And there will be a lot of them. I’m telling you this from the perspective of person that started his own business like this quite some time ago.
Learning how to be helpful is one of the most essential things in our career. Every organisation or business needs helpful people. They are their bones and muscles.
This is not an easy problem, however, solution lies in an altered view and thinking on how to actually be helpful and what it really means. Desire to be of assistance probably lead you to this article, so you already care about it enough. You probably want to be helpful to someone you care about, or need something from them. Being helpful is the best way to show it.
Having that kind of personality will always put you in a better position comparing to others.
So, you’re in a position where you did the work, and your client told you they won’t pay. What should you do then?
The reason why, doesn’t really matter, but is it the end of story?
We’re all full of prejudice. We might not like it, but it’s a fact. We all prefer certain kind of hair colour and type. We prefer different dressing styles, we prefer certain food, and the list goes on and on…
